Das touristisch bedeutsame Multimar Wattforum plant im Rahmen der energetischen Optimierung der Technik im Bestandsgebäude die Umstellung der Kühlung der Aquarien mittels effizienter Einbindung der Geothermie in den Kühlkreislauf. Zudem soll durch die Optimierung der Raumlufttechnik über ein geändertes Belüftungssystem sowie durch die Umstellung der Ausstellungen auf energiesparende Techniken eine Steigerung der Energieeffizienz erreicht werden.
