Das Unternehmen Oetken Gongs wurde Anfang 2000 gegründet. Als Hersteller traditionell gehämmerter (Groß-)Gonginstrumente erwarb sich das Unternehmen unter Branchenkennern in kurzer Zeit – insbesondere aufgrund der mehrjährigen, erfolgreichen Tätigkeit des Ge-schäftsinhabers als Gongbaumeister der Schacht-Audorfer Niederlassung der Paiste AG – einen hervorragenden Ruf und konnte seinen Kundenstamm daraufhin sukzessive ausbauen. Derzeit werden Kunden in Europa, Nord- und Südamerika, Australien, Neuseeland und Asien beliefert. Die Hauptzielgruppe bilden Klangtherapeuten, Yogalehrer bzw. deren Schüler, Musiker, Musikschulen und Orchester. Da die zurzeit angemietete Betriebsstätte am Standort Osterrönfeld zusehends an Ihre Kapazitätsgrenze gelangt, eine Erweiterung am bisherigen Standort jedoch nicht möglich ist, plant das Inhaberehepaar die Errichtung einer neuen Betriebsstätte im Gewerbegebiet Schafredder in Fockbek. In der dann deutlich vergrößerten Betriebsstätte (ca. 300m² Grundfläche) soll die Jahresproduktion von derzeit 40 Gongs auf etwa 60 Gongs gesteigert werden. Darüber hinaus soll ein Showroom entstehen, in dem die hauseigenen Gonginstrumente der – zum Teil – weit angereisten Kundschaft präsentiert werden können. Das Vorhaben leiste – lt. Antragsteller – einen wesentlichen Beitrag zur langfristigen Unternehmenssicherung. Mit dem Vorhaben ist die Schaffung und Sicherung von Dauerarbeitsplätzen verbunden. (German)

Oetken Gongs was founded in early 2000. As a manufacturer of traditionally hammered (large) gong instruments, the company acquired an excellent reputation among industry connoisseurs in a short time — especially due to the many years of successful activity of the company owner as gong builder of the Schacht-Audorf branch of Paiste AG — and was able to gradually expand its customer base. Currently, customers in Europe, North and South America, Australia, New Zealand and Asia are supplied. The main target group is sound therapists, yoga teachers and their pupils, musicians, music schools and orchestras. As the current leased facility at the Osterrönfeld site is increasingly reaching its capacity limit, however, it is not possible to expand it at the previous site, the owner couple plans to establish a new establishment in the Schafredder industrial estate in Fockbek. In the then significantly enlarged facility (approximately 300 m² of floor area), annual production is to be increased from currently 40 Gongs to about 60 ggs. In addition, a showroom will be created in which the in-house gong instruments can be presented to the — in some cases — well-traveled customers. The project — according to the applicant — makes a significant contribution to long-term business security. The project involves the creation and safeguarding of permanent jobs. (English)
