Due to the defeat of Napoleon and the reorganization of Europe in the course of the Congress of Vienna, the archdiocese of Salzburg is finally divided and fed a new political order. The Rupertiwinkel with the communities west of the Salzach were allocated to Bavaria. Unofficially, these communities have been with Bavaria since 1810, but officially this division is completed in 1816. 2016 marks the 200th anniversary of this historic event. In this joint project, the story of the two regional courts Golling and Tittmoning, which served a common sovereign until 200 years ago, is presented. Furthermore, in Tittmoning the exhibition "Old Maps, Plans and Views - Salzhandelsweg - Grenzfluß" is presented. And Golling presents the exhibition "1816 - The year without summer" about the volcanic eruption in Southeast Asia in 1815. The connecting element is the Salzach and the common sovereign (archbishop). It is a contribution to sustainable tourism development, increasing the number of visitors and further expanding the area as a touristic destination. (English)
