The ability of religious groups not only to live together, but also to act together to build social consensus and facilitate the integration of members of recently established religious communities is a challenge for both France (Alsace) and Germany (Baden-Württemberg). Universities in the Upper Rhine region have a key role to play here as part of their remit.
