The CLIP project is primarily aimed at mothers with a migrant background, through whom their children and partners will also be reached afterwards. In addition, fathers with a migrant background are also addressed directly to a smaller part. The aim of the project is to enable participants to be more closely connected to the labour market — ideally to enter a professional activity — and, through a holistic approach to counselling and support, will make an inclusive contribution to women/men and their families. Topics such as self-determined life, time management and the reconciliation of family and work life are discussed as well as the German education system. In the individual consulting setting, obstacles are identified and solutions to concrete problems are developed in order to enable participants to participate in a professional and social manner. The provision of information on leisure, education and counselling services also concerns families and, in particular, the children of the participants, in order to achieve (strengthening) social participation. For participating women, the project will take place in a combination of multi-week group modules and accompanying individual consultation. Through the joint visit to the modules “Empowerment”, a low-threshold offer, in which, in addition to content-related issues, the focus is on joint exchange in German, “EDV” and “Professional Path Planning”, the women get to know each other, exchange ideas and learn more about their own and family participation opportunities. At the same time, they expand their capacity to act with regard to social and cultural requirements and expectations. The embedding of two internship phases also opens up practical and orientating insights into job opportunities for the participants. Participating fathers are accompanied in individual setting. (German)
