The aim of this small project, planned by the cities of Drusenheim, Bühl and Rheinmünster, is to create a joint and simultaneous exhibition on both sides of the Rhine, with 48 works of art originating from the international artist collective “Plakatwandkunst”. The originality of this exhibition is that the works of art are discovered by bicycle along the cycle paths of the Rhine plain. This path is intended to mix contemporary art, landscapes and cultural heritage; it will start in the centre of Drusenheim and continue through the gardens “Les Jardins de l’Altwasser”, along the pedestrian and bicycle avenue in Rheinstraße, to the ferry “Drusus”. The path will continue to Germany, through the Rosengarten in Rheinmünster, and end in the city centre of Bühl. At the same time as this exhibition, the artists will take part in various events during the summer of 2017 to present their works to the general public. In addition to the gathering of artists and audiences, this project will also enhance the cross-border identity of the region and the tourist attraction of the Rhine plain. (English)

(German)
