Zur weiteren Verbesserung des örtlichen touristischen Freizeitangebotes plant die Gemeinde Büsum das „Gäste- und Veranstaltungszentrum“ (GVZ) zu modernisieren. Durch den Umbau und die Erweiterung der touristischen Nutzungsmöglichkeiten im GVZ soll die touristische multifunktionale Freizeiteinrichtung Treff- und Anziehungs-punkt für Gäste mit unterschiedlichen Aktivitäten und Freizeitgestaltungs-möglichkeiten werden. Ganzjährig sollen in den verschiedenen Veranstaltungs- und Multifunktionsräumen abwechslungsreiche Programme für alle touristischen Zielgruppen stattfinden. Neben Vorträgen, Lesungen und Ausstellungen sollen u.a. Kabarett, Konzerte, aktuelle Kinofilme sowie Kinderspiel- und Gestaltungsangebote, Sport- und Freizeitangebote für Jugendliche angeboten werden. Das Zentrum spricht in seiner multifunktionalen Konzeption touristische Nutzer aller Altersgruppen an, ist auf Barrierefreiheit ausgelegt, verfolgt eine nachhaltige Weiternutzung des Bestandsgebäudes und zielt auf eine gemeindeübergreifende Zusammenarbeit ab. Through the conversion and extension of the tourist use possibilities in the GVZ, the tourist multifunctional leisure facility is to become a meeting point and attraction for guests with different activities and recreational opportunities. All year round, varied programmes for all tourist groups will take place in the various event and multifunctional rooms. In addition to lectures, readings and exhibitions, cabaret, concerts, current cinema films as well as children’s play and design offers, sports and leisure activities for young people will be offered. The Centre addresses tourism users of all ages in its multifunctional design, is designed for accessibility, pursues sustainable continued use of the existing building and aims at cross-municipal cooperation.
