Project is colourful combination of green investment, art &culture; as innovative education tool, smart IC technology, wide-scale energy-saving school competition - all applied to empower project area' school students &employees; and regional &local; officials to practically apply key principles of affordable energy saving &sustainable; energy management. In parralel, dynamic public communication widely spreads &increases; awareness of citizens &other; public constituents about range of win-win socio-economic benefits of energy efficiency and renewable energy generation (EE&RES;). Project will contribute to achieving sustainable and carbon-neutral energy system in project area. It addresses cross-border environmental /air pollution caused by fossil-fuel combustion &inefficient; use of firewood for domestic &public; heating, combined with poor EE & low use of solar energy in cross-border project area, due to insufficient knowledge of project area' decision makers, stakeholders &citizens; about efficient affordable solutions &their; unawareness of win-win opportunities placed in low-carbon development. They will be collectively addressed by all partners, by investing in 4.509 MW new renewable-energy generating capacity installed in 33 primary &secondary; schools located area-wide and EE-renovation of school-facades &joinery.; Project Team will use significant number of 18 heat-energy biomass-boilers & 15 solar power plants to produce substantial cross-border on-the-job knowledge-base on their technical performance & energy-related effects and disseminate it to target groups through customised practical training. Project annually generates 6.217.693 kWh renewable energy; 4.217.693 kwh energy saving combining effects of EE-renovation measures, energy-saving school completion ⁣ technology and energy-management knowledge applied by trainees in their work-places; 1834 t CO2 emission-reduction and new 1535 man-month green jobs.
