Overall objective: Contribution to the protection of the environment and economic development of the border area through more efficient waste valorisation. Specific objective: Establishing a system of selective collection and treatment of communal waste in urban areas of Gjakova/Djakovica and Plav municipalities. The foreseen activities within the project are: 1.1 Development of primary selection system in urban areas of Plav and Gusinije Municipalities. 1.2 Development of primary selection system in the urban area of Gjakovë / Đakovica Municipality. 2.1 Education of the population in the urban areas of Plav and Gjakovë / Đakovica Municipalities. 2.2 Education of the youngest in preschool institutions and lower grades of primary schools in 3 municipalities. 2.3 Education of employees in educational institutions in 3 municipalities. 2.4 Education of employees in 2 local Public Utility Companies. 3.1 Opening conference. 3.2 Production and distribution of promo-materials. 3.3 Closing conference.
