The common on both sides of the border traditions are a valuable issue, which should be preserved from dying irretrievably. One of the richest tradition is a wedding and the events related to it. With the involvement of the young people from Hajnówka, Dubiny and Vidamlia, we would like to collect and reconstruct local wedding ceremonials in an innovative way. The main aim of our project is to promote and preserve the historical wedding ceremonials appearing in the area of Hajnówka county and Brest district through the workshops, conferences, gathering old photos, listing the ceremonials as well as preparing a modern theatrical performance, ethnographic exhibition, escape room and publications. As a result of the actions involving the inhabitants PL-BY, the ceremonials being a part of our history will be preserved for the next generations. The main products: 1. Polish – Belarusian workshops of handcraft and art 2. Four study visits (two in Poland and two in Belarus) 3. Interactive classes “The former wedding traditions” 4. Travelling interactive exhibition “The former wedding” 5. Polish – Belarusian performance typical for the contemporary theatre “The wedding-always together” 6. Polish – Belarusian conference “Transborder wedding traditions at the turn of XIX and XX century on the area of Brest oblast and Podlasie region” 7. Publication of “Transborder wedding traditions in a historical context and a contemporary message for young generation” The choice of participants is intentional. The schools from Hajnówka, Dubiny and Postcard association have cooperated for many years as far as historical and cultural education is concerned. The common history, traditions and culture of the inhabitants of Hajnówka county and Brest oblast are the reasons for the transborder approach. Incorporating the experienced partner from Vidamlia into actions is a guarantor of achieving the goals (English)
