Celem projektu jest ochrona różnorodności biologicznej na terenie Gminy Buczkowice w dolinie potoku Żylica, który stanowi ważny korytarz ekologiczny w regionie. Projekt obejmuje ochronę najcenniejszych gatunków i siedlisk przyrodniczych w celu przywrócenia ich do właściwego stanu przy jednoczesnym zwiększeniu efektywności wykorzystania zasobów naturalnych i kulturowych Subregionu Południowego. Cel projektu zostanie osiągnięty po zrealizowaniu zaplanowanych działań środowiskowych w zakresie poprawy i odtwarzania stanu siedlisk przyrodniczych i populacji gatunków, szczególnie poprzez zwalczanie obcych gatunków inwazyjnych, ochronę przyrody przez zmniejszenie presji ruchu turystycznego za pomocą budowy infrastruktury użytku publicznego, w tym ścieżki dydaktycznej oraz utworzenie i doposażenie ośrodka prowadzącego działalność w zakresie edukacji ekologicznej. Projekt jest społecznie akceptowalny i jest odpowiedzią na liczne wnioski mieszkańców i turystów regionu. (Polish)

The aim of the project is to protect biodiversity in Buczkowice commune in the valley of the Žilice stream, which is an important ecological corridor in the region. The project includes the protection of the most valuable species and natural habitats in order to restore them to a proper state while increasing the efficiency of the use of the Southern Subregion’s natural and cultural resources. The objective of the project will be achieved after the planned environmental actions to improve and restore the status of natural habitats and species populations, in particular by combating alien invasive species, protecting nature by reducing pressure on tourism by building public use infrastructures, including the teaching path, and establishing and retrofitting an eco-education centre. The project is socially acceptable and responds to numerous requests from local residents and tourists. (English)
