The project recognises as general problems in the border region the following: an inadequate management of tourism offer, its insufficient diversification and the quality of services, unutilised potentials for youth tourism development, insufficient stakeholder’s involvement in creation of tourism offer, lack of networking and information exchange, and low-level knowledge of usage of modern marketing tools. The goal of the project is to use cultural heritage and contemporary art as tools to: establish new cross-border links; develop a new tourist route that will help in improving tourism offer; develop a model of managing the regional offer through creation of a new tourism products based on the cultural and touristic potentials. Both in Serbia and Hungary, the project partners will organize: four tourist events involving music, visual art, painting and photography; four joint art meetings; four workshops on “tourism based on cultural heritage”; four workshops on “event management”; study tours in both partner-countries. These educational activities will enable capacity building and knowledge exchanges, important for creation of the tourism route, new attractive programs and contents and a model for strategic management and promotion, as well as help the strategy development for the new tourist route and development of virtual touristic tours in Serbia and Hungary.
