Project will be the first joint undertaking of Leczna and Volozhin and it will start cross-border cooperation between partner towns. Common challenge and the main objective of the project are increasing the cultural, social and tourist attractiveness of Leczna, Volozhin and the Polish-Belarusian region by use, development, promotion and integration of cultural heritage resources and development of cross-border cooperation. The objective is planned to be reached through cross-border cultural events, painting exhibitions, improving sites on the basis of creativity of the Ferdynand Ruszczyc – famous Polish painter who lived, created and has been buried in Bogdanovo in Volozhin District. Project achievements: increasing the cultural, social and tourist attractiveness of Leczna and Volozhin, promotion of the unique cultural heritage resources of both towns in Polish-Belarusian-Ukrainian region, new common cross-border cultural events, building new cross-border cooperation, social and cultural integration of partner towns. Project products and results: - increased number of visitors – 6,000; - improved cultural and historical sites – 1; - cross-border cultural events – 4; - participants of cross-border cultural events – 2,200; - publications – 2. Project is addressed to local governments, cultural institutions, social organizations, residents of Leczna, Volozhin, residents of Polish-Belarusian region and tourists (English)
