DruIDe (printable identification - germ. Druckbare IDentifikation) was initiated by the ID4us Gmbh, in order to develope a world wide new RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) technology. This innovative RFID-system class will allow to read out chipless and printable RFID tags based on nano technology, without any losses neither in information depth nor in robustness. In comparison to traditional RFID systems the price per RFID tag will be reduced dramatically and thus it will enable new applications which have been unpractical so far because of technology barriers or financial pressure. The central vision of DruIDe is to replace in general the barcodes by RFID tags. (English)
