Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are facing the same challenges of demographic and social change on both sides of the border. This is accompanied by burdens on employers (e.g. shortage of skilled labour/need for skilled labour) and employees (e.g. increased workload, higher retirement age). While large companies can often fall back on already established company health management concepts, SMEs often lack targeted measures for the sustainable promotion of the health and performance of their employees and managers. Against this background, a targeted consideration of the health-promoting and health-threatening structures of SMEs is necessary in order to derive and work out precisely fitting, practicable and cost-efficient measures for health promotion. The Health (Pro)Fit project stands for the preservation and promotion of healthy, vital, motivated and workable employees, managers and teams. The core of the project is the so-called maturity level model. As a so-called "guidance system", the maturity level model enables the direct and step-by-step implementation, further development and optimisation of health measures towards a healthy company with a healthy corporate culture. This approach developed by the FH Münster is new and is used for the first time in this project. The aim of Health (Pro)Fit is the sustainable strengthening of SMEs through measures for health promotion, team development and health management. Further goals are the reduction of absenteeism due to inability to work as well as the ability of employees to work up to the retirement age of 67 and possibly beyond. The focus is also on strengthening the attractiveness of the company as an employer. (English)
