    The project aims at transforming urban water resources in Rēzekne and Ostrov into more sustainable and attractive place for their inhabitants and visitors, maintaining the balance between social, economic and environmental factors. During the project local tourism actors will receive trainings in marketing, cooperation (cluster formation), tourism relation to sustainable management of natural resources and will be encouraged to exchange relevant experience and share knowledge. Project partners will develop research on water basins in Rēzekne and Ostrov, create materials for eco-quests and waterfront tourism routes. Integrated natural resource management handbook and a joint cross-border approach to integrated natural resource management studies will be developed. Improvement works on 2 waterfront sites will be performed, providing a substantial positive impact on the increase of visitors to the improved nature objects of Programme territory. (English)
