Unique natural protected objects located geographically in the common transboundary Sokółka (Poland) and Hrodna (Belarus) regions have a high tourist potential, but are not in high demand as a touristic destination among the local population and guests of the region because of: - Low awareness of local population and tourists about protected natural objects of transboundary regions; - Low development of ecological tourism in cross-border regions; - Lack of cross-border tourist green routes. To increase the competitiveness of the transboundary territory of the Sokółka and Hrodna regions through the visualization of protected natural objects and their marketing promotion we are going to: - systematize information on protected natural objects in Puszcza Knyszyńska (Knyszyn Forest) Landscape Park (Poland), Hrodzienskaja Pušča (Hrodna Forest) Landscape Reserve (Belarus) and along the rivers Łosośna – Lasosna – Neman (Poland-Belarus) thanks to the joint work of photographers and experts in the field of photography and videography, tourism, conservancy from two countries during photo and video contests and expeditions, the organization of cross-border round tables, joint photo and video exhibitions and publication of work results; - raise awareness of residents and guests of the region about the natural heritage of Puszcza Knyszyńska and Hrodzienskaja Pušča by organizing photo and video exhibitions and publishing of a photo album with the contests winners’and expeditions participants' photos and promoting it through media involvement; - improve the tourism potential and create opportunities for transboundary ecotourism on both sides of the border through publishing of a map of elaborated cross-border green routes, digitization of the routes and modernization of the mobile application of green routes.
