The project we propose is a revised version of the project Holistic career development for pupils in cross border area, 2016. The project was on waiting list, with 71,25 pct. Based on the feedback received, and adapting to the new program priorities, we are hereby proposing the revised and improved project proposal. The rate of youth unemployment is 17.8% (Romania) and 33.3% (Serbia) (https://tradingeconomics.com). The high rate of youth unemployment is determined by labor market absorption and by limited access of youth to counseling services. The number of specialized career counselors in high schools is very limited. Thus, other teachers, are to be trained, to act as informed career counselors. The overall objective is to offer for youth in Romania and Serbia an increased chance to take informed decisions regarding the career path through counseling activities and an online platform. The expected change will be that in this they will gain better access to the labor market and employment opportunities. The main outputs of the project are: an on-line interactive platform on vocational and career counseling, a Counseling guide that can be used by all interested teachers and counselors from Romania and Serbia, 40 trained high-school teachers as career counselors – 20 Romanians and 20 Serbian and 400 young people trained by the career counselors – 200 Romanians and 200 Serbian. There are two target groups: The first, formed by high school students, aged 16 to 19(400 young people: 200 from Romania, 200 from Serbia), the second consisting of high-schoolteachers acting as career counselors (40 teachers: 20 from Romania and 20 from Serbia). The focus of this project is the jointly solving the similar problems of the both targeted groups. Local challenges are both similar, and specific. Young people, on both sides of the border, have the same needs, are confused about how to choose the right direction in professional life, have different and yet similar life aspirations. It is known that a lot of students from Serbia, mainly from the Romanian minority living cross-border, are attending tertiary studies in Romania. Such project gives them the opportunity of informed decision in this regard. This project aims to develop a unitary, common perspective on student`s counseling which will unify the two specific and national visions, in order to offer them the same opportunities for their career start. The originality of this project consists in the integrative, and flexible approach of career development: the academic, the job-seeking competences and the career counseling are integrated with the unitary vision. The digital platform proposes a new and modern virtual space of communication, interaction and scientific knowledge in the counseling domain, linking together teachers and students across the border. The effects of the project will be sustainable for a long time, as we propose an education for the future and toward a lifelong learning. (English)
