On the one hand, the project „Versorgung Verbindet“ focuses on the search for solutions regarding problems faced by citizens, the insured and patients. On the other hand, it concentrates on the effective and economic use of care facilities. Developments, such as the fast increase of chronic illnesses, the growing interest in health and wellness, the expecting labor shortage as well as the aging of the population lead to the urgent need to make use of the economic potentials and at the same time, to respond to the social pressure in the border region. The strategy is to connect care and technology in order to ensure that patients receive faster and better care. Distance support is possible due to the emergence of smart phones and apps. The different innovations promote regional economic growth and create new jobs. The Euregio’s as a field laboratory for care economy. The following (sub-) projects will be implemented during the project’s life time: - Cardiological distance-rehabilitation - COA – cross-border online treatment against arthritis - Remote monitoring of blood pressure self-measurement - Dental care for the elderly for care takers and caring relatives - Benchmark infection-prevention in surgery - NL/D hospital cooperation „Big helps small“ - Remote depression-treatment - Care in rural border regions (Cara) - Hospitals learn from each other; plastic surgery - Oncocog; Psycho-Soma, Care on distance - AVM - Hospitals learning from each other Moreover, matching conversations, potential field labs and workshops will be accompanied and coordinated. Euregio Rhein-Waal will coordinate and accompany the sub-projects as well as take care of the financial administration. The results of the project are of common interest and will be made publicly available after the project is finished. (English)
