The proposed action is a common initiative between the two cross-border partners State Puppet Theatre-Vidin and Romanian Association for Technology Transfer and Innovation (ARRoT ) from Craiova. The project aims to improve cross-border public awareness in the field of efficient risk prevention and management through development of innovative educational toolkit and conducting wide promotional campaign in the cross-border region. Specific objectives of the project are coherent to the overall objective of the programme, priority axis 3, as well to the main goal of the project. They are as follows: Increasing the effectiveness and quality for risk prevention and management through improving readiness and quality of preparation at school and kindergarden through joint development of children’s educational risk prevention package C.A.R. E and its dissemination among target groups in the cross-border region through targeted specific informational campaign. Fostering the exchange of information and know-how on efficient risk prevention and management through establishment of sustainable cross-border C.A.R. E network for cooperation and development of web-based platform for exchanges of experience and knowledge on successful preparation of children in crisis and emergency situations. The common territorial challenges the project addresses is to develop a neutral platform to facilitate the process for raising awareness in the field of efficient risk prevention and management in the cross-border area through development and implementation of activities for children and adults, which directly increase the knowledge and stimulate the exchange of good practices for efficient risk prevention from natural and anthropic disasters. The project tackels the main problem - lack of educational practical information and tools for children and adults how to create resilience behavior in the child to survive in extreme environment- like weather-related risks (such as storms, extreme temperature events, forest fires, droughts, floods) and geophysical risks (such as landslides, earthquakes) and those, caused by anthropical influence. The project directly contributes to improving the current situation in terms of quality of risk management through development of new educational didactical package for common and self-defence for children aged 5th-12th years old during crisis situations. Programme outputs targeted by this call the project contributes are relevant to Priority axis 3 and Specific objective. 3.1: Awareness raising campaigns for the cross-border population on the hazards and risk and on the measures for their mitigation, management, reduction and exchanges of experiences. The project activities are designed to achieve Programme outputs and programme result indicators for priority axis 3 Safe region, specific objective Imroving the risk management in cross-border region. The project offers innovative approaches, new solutions to tackle the identified common challenges for securing adequate preliminary preparation for children aged 5th to 12th years old to act in crisis situations, caused by natural and anthropic disasters and accidents. The innovative resilient approach will be applied to the joint development of Children’s educational risk prevention package C.A.R. E and the massive rising awareness campaign with accent on preserving the psyche and overcoming fear of using the means of creativeness in development of innovative educational toolkit, which provides unique opportunities for presenting the risk of disastars in an attractive and more accessible way for children. The resilient approach, which will be applied, offers opportunities through creativeness and games children to be trained to accept the information and to deal with the difficulties better than could be expected in rising awareness and understanding of safety rules for natural disaster. Incorporating the resilient approach and creativeness in design and development of educational tools will provide an environment for stimulating and develop the social skills of the child for communication, self-control, assertive behavior; support, help in overcoming difficulties, its own resilience to life and natural crises and critical situations. One of the major tasks of the project activities is children to learn how to be more resilient to stress; to think logically; to understand what he or she perceives; to develop social feelings; - to show sympathy for people and animals in distress; - to trust others - to an adult in a critical situation; to rely on himself. The major challenge in the target region under the project and in the programme area is development of new educational tools for effective learning and preparation of children at early age for possible disasters and accidents. On the other hand ,improving the capacity of teachers and administration of education instituions for crisis situation, requires constant updating of information and development of m (English)
