    Project is a response to the problems and limitations that hinder the appropriate and efficient use of outstanding potential of culture heritage for tourism development in borderland area Project addresses the issues of low competitiveness, weak recognition and unsatisfying appreciation of borderland’s cultural heritage. That requires new – integrated attitude towards the issue of cross-border tourist development considering peculiarity of the area, relations and existing level of backwardness within the range of quality of cultural heritage. Thus through promotion of traditional crafts project improves the borderland’s image and attractiveness for various groups of visitors. Overall objective is to increase of touristic attractiveness of Polish - Belarusian borderland as the cultural tourism destination. Project contributes to all Programme output indicators set for the Priority 1.1: 2 improved cultural and historical sites of the borderland (culture park and house of crafts), 4 cross-border cultural events with participation of 714 persons makes project fully correspond to Priority 1.1. By bringing on the coherent and integrated set of actions (2 improved culture sites, 2 joint workshops, study visit, promotion campaign, release of the publication and 2 cultural events) project promotes and preserves culture heritage of Polish – Belarussian borderland. Achievement of the Project outputs requires close cooperation between the Partners and is not possible without it. Same as sustainability and maintenance of results. Established Cross-border Craft Heritage Network will be close form of cross-border cooperation within the culture heritage sector with its own and operational procedures. It will be a significant catalyst for know-how transfer, knowledge and ideas sharing between Polish and Belarussian partners in future. (English)
