The objective of the project is to create a tourism product called DIFFERENT FACETS OF WATER based on natural resources of the borderland. On the Polish side the project involves revitalising the wooden building of Lubogoszcz located in the Spring Park in Rabka-Zdrój, to be used as Saline Water House with a mini graduation tower, and developing the area. This will allow to transform the service building into a saline water exposition centre with a water drinking room and sanitary facilities. The project includes developing green areas (200m2), building pavements and access paths of concrete paving stones (115 m2) and constructing infrastructure: two external graduation towers (14 m2), an inside graduation tower (7 m2) linked to an overflow salt pond, two water drawing appliances (Jan and Zuber), exposition cabinets promoting the riches of the health resort - medicinal water springs – and the installation of information and photovoltaic panels. On the Slovak side the project involves opening access to the Jarabina canyon thanks to the construction of a ca. 700m-long nature path, drawing attention to the most interesting elements of nature, and stairs made of stainless steel enabling tourists to descend to the canyon and the viewing platform, from which one can admire the view from above of the Mały Lipnik stream gorge with a minimum interference in the natural environment and ensuring care for the natural monument. A Central Tourist Point will be created at the intersection of various important hiking and cycling trails, including cross-border trails. Raising environmental awareness among the local population and promoting sustainable tourism by disseminating information on the role of water in the environment and on preventing degradation of environmental resources (interactive kiosks, workshops, conferences, good practices) will also be an important element. The planned infrastructure will be supplemented by several promotional and information activities to promote the new tourism product (information materials, website), as well as multimedia presentations in interactive kiosks in Poland and Slovakia).
