Project partnership is composed from 5 beneficiaries: LB: Zemgale Planning region, B2: The State Scientific and Production Amalgamation "Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Biological Resources", B3: Krustpils local municipality, B4: Jekabpils local municipality, B5 :State Environmental Institution National Park "Braslavskije Ozjora" Project will solve following problems: lack of cooperation networks and models in common environmental risk solving, lack of trained responsible institution personnel, fighting and preventive actions with natural disasters: floods, fires, parasitic insects in water etc. Project objective: Elaboration of sustainable environmental management system, to limit potential risks, as well as reduce losses and consequences of environmental emergencies. Project activities: 1. Management and coordination. 2. Formation of Sustainable natural resource and risks prevention management system. 3. Capacity building measures for involved target groups. 4. Improvement of technical capacity in the field of environmental resources management and elimination of the potential disasters. 5. Strengthening cooperation and raising awareness in the field of environmental emergencies and publicity activities. Results - Elaboration of joint plan for natural resources and environmental emergencies situations management (Krustpils, Jekabpils, Sala, Akniste, Viesite municipality) (1), new cooperation systems elaborated (3), Elaboration of smart and effective fire safety system for the National Park "Braslavskie ozera" (1), Elaboration of research about parasitic infections in the watercourses in project territory (1), 3 trainings organized for target groups, 3 change of experiences organized for target groups, awareness raising seminars for pupils in LV and BY (8 in total), 1 final conference organized, equipment purchased.
