The territory of Ollomont, Valpelline and Vollèges was in the past the subject of an important mining and metallurgical activity that left indelible traces of material and immaterial culture that risks being forgotten. MIMonVE promotes the creation of a system for a mining durable tourist offer, as an added value to the development of the territory. The goal is to increase the attractiveness of the territory in favor of tourists and residents, through: the recovery and the museum of 2 tunnels and 2 mining treatment areas, the conception and the networking of 2 itineraries and 3 educational itineraries, the creation of an innovative Laboratory of Archaeometallurgy of the Alps for scientific-educational purposes, the conception of a joint model of cultural offer and an integrated tourist strategy.
