Projekto tikslas – pagerinti Biržų miesto pėsčiųjų ir dviratininkų susisiekimo sąlygas, padidinti gyventojų mobilumą ir prisidėti prie aplinkos taršos mažinimo._x000D_Projekto tikslinės grupė – Biržų miesto gyventojai._x000D_Įgyvendinus Projektą bus ženkliai pagerintos pėsčiųjų ir dviratininkų susiekimo sąlygos, nes nuo J. Basanavičiaus gatvės iki Širvėnos ežero tilto pratęstas takas saugiai sujungs Kęstučio g. su tiltu per Širvėnos ežerą bei sudarys puikias sąlygas dviratininkams ir pėstiesiems pasiekti norimą vietą išvengiant judrių gatvių. Tokiu būdu būtų tolygiau paskirstomi judėjimo srautai, užtikrinamas saugumas, tenkinamas gyventojų mobilumo poreikis ir prisidedama prie aplinkos taršos mažinimo. (Lithuanian)

The aim of the project is to improve the transport conditions for pedestrians and cyclists in Biržai city, to increase the mobility of the population and to contribute to the reduction of environmental pollution._x000D_Project target group — residents of Biržai city._x000D_Implementation of the project will significantly improve the conditions for pedestrians and cyclists’ access, as the extended trail from J. Basanavičius street to Širvėna lake bridge will safely connect Kęstutis str. with the bridge over the lake Širvėna and will provide excellent conditions for cyclists and pedestrians to reach the desired location while avoiding busy streets. This would result in a more even distribution of traffic flows, security, the need for mobility of the population and the reduction of environmental pollution. (English)
