Hankkeen tavoitteena on synnyttää Satakuntaan vahva alueen elintarvike- ja kalatalouselinkeinotoimintaa tukeva tutkimus-, kehitys- ja innovaatiotoiminnan infrastruktuuri. Nykyiset vahvat elintarvikealan sekä ympäristön ja vesistöjen suojelun osaamisalueet integroidaan vähähiilisen ja ekologisen talouden erityisosaamiseen. Vahvistunut huippuyksikkö, Pyhäjärvi-instituutti, luo soveltavan tutkimus- ja kehitysympäristönsä ja laajojen yhteistyöverkostojensa avulla elinkeinoon kasvua tuomalla alan uusinta tutkimustietoa ja innovaatioita toimijoiden käyttöön. Vähähiilisillä ja kestävän kehityksen mukaisilla uusilla tuote- ja teknologiaratkaisuilla parannetaan pk-yritysten liiketoiminnan kasvua ja samalla pienennetään Satakunnan ja Suomen hiilijalanjälkeä. Vähähiilisen ja ekologisen talouden osaamiskeskittymän kehitysalustana hyödynnetään Pyhäjärvi-instituutin elintarvike- ja vesistötoimialoille yhteistä järvikalarajapintaa. Hankkeessa pilotoidaan järvikalatuotteiden vähähiilisyyden ja ekologisuuden hyödyntämistä tuotteistamisessa ja menekinedistämisessä. Hankkeen ja sitä tukevan pilotin tuloksena syntynyt vähähiilisen ja ekologisen talouden huippuyksikkö lisää elinkeinon ja alueen valmiuksia jatkossa reagoida nopeasti sekä ilmastonmuutoksen että kuluttajakäyttäytymisen aiheuttamiin haasteisiin tuotantotapojen ja teknologioiden kehittämisessä. The aim of the project is to create a strong research, development and innovation infrastructure to support the food and fisheries industries in Satakunta. The existing strong areas of expertise in food, environment and water protection will be integrated into the specific knowledge of the low-carbon and ecological economy. The Strengthening Centre of Excellence, the Pyhäjärvi Institute, creates growth in the industry through its applied research and development environment and extensive cooperation networks by bringing the latest research data and innovations in the field to the attention of operators. Low-carbon and sustainable new product and technology solutions will improve the growth of SMEs’ business while reducing the carbon footprint of Satakunta and Finland. As a platform for the development of the Centre of Excellence in the Low Carbon and Ecological Economy, the Pyhäjärvi Institute’s common interface for the food and water industries is used. The project will pilot the use of low-carbon and ecological use of lake fish products in productisation and promotion. The Centre of Excellence in the Low Carbon and Ecological Economy resulting from the project and the pilot will increase the capacity of the industry and the region to react quickly to the challenges posed by both climate change and consumer behaviour in the development of production methods and technologies. L’objectif du projet est de créer une solide infrastructure de recherche, de développement et d’innovation pour soutenir les industries de l’alimentation et de la pêche à Satakunta. Les domaines d’expertise solides existants dans les domaines de l’alimentation, de l’environnement et de la protection de l’eau seront intégrés dans les connaissances spécifiques de l’économie à faible intensité de carbone et de l’économie écologique. Le Centre d’excellence de renforcement, l’Institut Pyhäjärvi, crée une croissance dans l’industrie grâce à son environnement de recherche appliquée et de développement et ses réseaux de coopération étendus en portant à l’attention des opérateurs les données de recherche et les innovations les plus récentes dans ce domaine. Les nouvelles solutions de produits et technologies à faible intensité de carbone et durables permettront d’améliorer la croissance des activités des PME tout en réduisant l’empreinte carbone de Satakunta et de la Finlande. L’interface commune de l’Institut Pyhäjärvi pour les industries de l’alimentation et de l’eau est utilisée en tant que plate-forme pour le développement du Centre d’excellence en économie à faible teneur en carbone et en économie écologique. Le projet pilotera l’utilisation d’une utilisation écologique et à faible teneur en carbone des produits du poisson lacustre dans le cadre de la production et de la promotion. Le Centre d’excellence en économie à faible teneur en carbone et en économie écologique résultant du projet et du projet pilote renforcera la capacité de l’industrie et de la région à réagir rapidement aux défis posés par le changement climatique et le comportement des consommateurs dans le développement de méthodes et de technologies de production. Ziel des Projekts ist die Schaffung einer starken Forschungs-, Entwicklungs- und Innovationsinfrastruktur zur Unterstützung der Lebensmittel- und Fischereiindustrie in Satakunta. Die bestehenden starken Fachgebiete in den Bereichen Lebensmittel, Umwelt und Wasserschutz werden in das spezifische Wissen über die kohlenstoffarme und ökologische Wirtschaft integriert. Das Stärkungszentrum für Exzellenz, das Pyhäjärvi-Institut, schafft Wachstum in der Industrie durch sein angewandtes Forschungs- und Entwicklungsumfeld und umfangreiche Kooperationsnetzwerke, indem es die neuesten Forschungsdaten und Innovationen vor Ort an die Betreiber heranzieht. CO2-arme und nachhaltige neue Produkt- und Technologielösungen werden das Wachstum der KMU-Unternehmen verbessern und gleichzeitig den CO2-Fußabdruck von Satakunta und Finnland verringern. Als Plattform für die Entwicklung des Centre of Excellence in the Low Carbon and Ecological Economy wird die gemeinsame Schnittstelle des Pyhäjärvi-Instituts für die Lebensmittel- und Wasserwirtschaft genutzt. Im Rahmen des Projekts wird der Einsatz kohlenstoffarmer und ökologischer Nutzung von Fischprodukten für die Produktiv- und Absatzförderung erprobt. Das Exzellenzzentrum in der kohlenstoffarmen und ökologischen Wirtschaft, das sich aus dem Projekt und dem Pilotprojekt ergibt, wird die Fähigkeit der Industrie und der Region erhöhen, schnell auf die Herausforderungen des Klimawandels und des Verbraucherverhaltens bei der Entwicklung von Produktionsmethoden und -technologien zu reagieren. Het doel van het project is het creëren van een sterke infrastructuur voor onderzoek, ontwikkeling en innovatie ter ondersteuning van de voedings- en visserijsector in Satakunta. De bestaande sterke expertise op het gebied van voedsel-, milieu- en waterbescherming zal worden geïntegreerd in de specifieke kennis van de koolstofarme en ecologische economie. Het Strengthening Centre of Excellence, het Pyhäjärvi Instituut, creëert groei in de industrie door middel van zijn toegepaste onderzoeks- en ontwikkelingsomgeving en uitgebreide samenwerkingsnetwerken door de meest recente onderzoeksgegevens en innovaties op dit gebied onder de aandacht van de operatoren te brengen. Koolstofarme en duurzame nieuwe product- en technologieoplossingen zullen de groei van de activiteiten van kmo’s verbeteren en tegelijkertijd de koolstofvoetafdruk van Satakunta en Finland verkleinen. Als platform voor de ontwikkeling van het Centre of Excellence in the Low Carbon and Ecological Economy wordt gebruikgemaakt van de gemeenschappelijke interface van het Pyhäjärvi-instituut voor de voedsel- en waterindustrie. Het project zal het gebruik van koolstofarme en ecologisch gebruik van visproducten uit meer bij de productisering en promotie van vis uit het meer testen. Het Centre of Excellence in the Low Carbon and Ecological Economy, dat het resultaat is van het project en het proefproject, zal de industrie en de regio in staat stellen snel te reageren op de uitdagingen van zowel klimaatverandering als consumentengedrag bij de ontwikkeling van productiemethoden en -technologieën.
