Baltic Odyssey is a return to the oldest sources of cultural identity of the lands currently located in the north-eastern Poland (Warmiansko-Mazurskie Voivodeship) and Russia (Kaliningrad Oblast). The project refers to the ancient myth of Odysseus as a metaphor for searching for a way to settle. The project implementation is intended to underline and clarify in the cultural landscape of the former Prussian lands the signs of identity associated with peoples who lived in these lands in antiquity and in the Middle Ages. Baltic Odyssey is a project of a travel offer to the sources of cultural identity of the south-eastern coast of the Baltic Sea. Both, inhabitants from cross-border region - Poles and Russians as well as tourists visiting the region are invited to this travel. The first will discover the mythical and historical past of their homeland today. Others - will be able to discover the exotic world of the north-eastern extremities of the former barbarian Europe - so little known so far. Main object - Increasing of attractiveness of Russia – Polish cross boarder territory for inhabitants and tourists through creation of common historical and cultural area. Firstly - In the project new places of cultural historical issue will be made (Excavation, Reconstruction of viking ship) Secondly -using mobile technology- the world of heritage will be opened for tourist/ Mobile application will collect all information of interesting historical and cultural places. And using game and 3D an VR and AR technology make it interesting for tourist to visit. In project also will be made Archio-design brochure - which will inspire craftsmen to make not just a regular things but truly historical reconstructions. Cross-border approach is needed for information and great experience exchange. In addition - cross-border territory has common history which could be used to attract people from outside. (Polish)

Baltic Odyssey est un retour aux plus anciennes sources d’identité culturelle des terres actuellement situées dans le nord-est de la Pologne (Voïvodie de Warmiansko-Mazurskie) et en Russie (oblast de Kalingrad). Le projet fait référence à l’ancien mythe d’Odysseus comme une métaphore de la recherche d’un moyen de s’installer. La mise en œuvre du projet vise à souligner et à clarifier dans le paysage culturel des anciennes terres prussiennes les signes d’identité associés aux peuples qui vivaient dans ces terres dans l’antiquité et au Moyen Âge. Baltic Odyssey est un projet d’offre de voyage aux sources d’identité culturelle de la côte sud-est de la mer Baltique. Tous deux, les habitants de la région transfrontalière — Polonais et Russes, ainsi que les touristes qui visitent la région sont invités à ce voyage. Les premiers découvriront aujourd’hui le passé mythique et historique de leur patrie. D’autres — pourront découvrir le monde exotique des extrémités nord-est de l’ancienne Europe barbare — si peu connues jusqu’à présent. Objet principal — Augmentation de l’attractivité de la Russie — territoire transfrontalier polonais pour les habitants et les touristes grâce à la création d’une zone historique et culturelle commune. Premièrement — dans le projet de nouveaux lieux de question historique culturelle sera faite (Excavation, Reconstruction du bateau viking) deuxièmement — en utilisant la technologie mobile- l’univers du patrimoine sera ouvert pour le tourisme/application mobile recueillera toutes les informations de lieux historiques et culturels intéressants. Et en utilisant jeu et 3D une technologie VR et AR rendent intéressant pour le touriste à visiter. Dans le projet sera également réalisé une brochure Archio-design — qui inspirera les artisans à faire non seulement des choses régulières, mais des reconstructions vraiment historiques. Une approche transfrontalière est nécessaire pour l’échange d’informations et d’expériences. En outre, le territoire transfrontalier a une histoire commune qui pourrait être utilisée pour attirer des personnes de l’extérieur. (French)
