Due to significant distance from urban areas both partner regions contend with marginalisation as they are unattractive for investors. The project will contribute to improving connections between the regions, influencing the attractiveness of the region and it will have an impact on economic growth as well as on socio-economic coherence in the cultural, social and economic areas. The main outcome of the project is reconstructing County road on the polish side in a distance of 4,40 km as well as the road on the Belarusian side in a distance of 5,100 km. The roads lead directly to Sławatycze-Domaczewo border crossing. The project implementation will enable communication between the Polish and Belarusian communities of Biała Podlaska County and Brest Region, which will contribute to the comfort of travelling and will shorthen travel time for emergency services or other vehicles. As a result of implementing the investment, the use of already existing road infrastructure will be improved. Implementing modernisation of the roads will help residents to use appropriately their means of transport. The action of improving the technical state of the roads as well as load-carrying capacities and width will ensure the comfort of travelling for those who choose the alternative access to border crossings in Terespol, Kukuryki and Sławatycze and neighbouring towns and villages, thus omitting overloaded with traffic national road No. 2. Cross-border cooperation focuses on the improvement of traffic connections and, in this way, it will increase social-economic coherence in the partner regions. En raison de l’écart important par rapport aux zones urbaines, les deux régions partenaires sont marginalisées car elles ne sont pas attrayantes pour les investisseurs. Le projet contribuera à améliorer les liens entre les régions, influençant l’attractivité de la région et aura un impact sur la croissance économique ainsi que sur la cohérence socio-économique dans les domaines culturel, social et économique. Le principal résultat du projet est la reconstruction de la route du comté du côté poli sur une distance de 4,40 km ainsi que la route du côté bélarussien à une distance de 5,100 km. Les routes mènent directement au poste frontière de Sławatycze-Domaczewo. La mise en œuvre du projet permettra la communication entre les communautés polonaise et biélorusse du comté de Biała Podlaska et de la région de Brest, ce qui contribuera au confort des déplacements et réduira le temps de trajet pour les services d’urgence ou d’autres véhicules. La mise en œuvre de l’investissement permettra d’améliorer l’utilisation des infrastructures routières existantes. La mise en œuvre de la modernisation des routes aidera les habitants à utiliser leurs moyens de transport de manière appropriée. L’action visant à améliorer l’état technique des routes ainsi que les capacités et la largeur de charge assurera le confort des déplacements pour ceux qui choisissent l’accès alternatif aux points de passage frontaliers de Terespol, de Kukucze et des villes et villages voisins, en omettant ainsi de surcharger la route nationale no 2. La coopération transfrontalière est axée sur l’amélioration des liaisons routières et, de cette manière, elle renforcera la cohérence socio-économique dans les régions partenaires. Dans le cadre du projet, il est prévu de construire une plate-forme commune pour l’échange de savoir-faire et d’expériences en matière de gestion de l’entretien des infrastructures routières.
