    Sachsen benötigt vor dem Hintergrund des demografischen Wandels und der zunehmenden Automatisierung und Digitalisierung Fachkräfte, die den zeitlichen Herausforderungen gewachsen sind. Wissenschaftliche Qualifizierung in Form von Promotionsvorhaben sind dabei ein wirksames Instrument zur Begegnung dieser. Bereits seit 1994 führt die Hochschule Mittweida in Kooperation mit Universitäten kooperative Promotionsverfahren durch. Die kooperierenden Universitäten befinden sich dabei meist in Sachsen (Stand 2014: 78%). Weitere Kriterien in der Initiierungsphase von Promotionsvorhaben sind die MINT- und Anwendungsorientiertheit (Stand 2014: 86%), die Interdisziplinarität sowie die thematische Relevanz der Themen für die Gesellschaft und Unternehmen der sächsischen Industrie. Entsprechend der Forschungsstrategie der Hochschule werden Promotionsvorhaben konsequent an den Forschungsprofillinien der HAW Mittweida orientiert. (German)

The cooperating universities are mostly located in Saxony (as of 2014: 78 %). Further criteria in the initiation phase of doctoral projects are STEM and Application Orientation (as of 2014: 86 %), the interdisciplinarity and the thematic relevance of the topics for the society and enterprises of the Saxon industry. In line with the university’s research strategy, doctoral projects are consistently aligned with the research profile lines of HAW Mittweida. (English)
