The methods of industrial production have always been changing. Hardly any process changes the industry as much as commercial metal 3D printing, whose full potential can be harnessed with comprehensive digitalisation. In order to further advance this change, the aim of the “FATiG” project is to develop an all-encompassing process for indirect additive manufacturing of titanium components as well as a simulation-based method for predicting the lifetime of additively manufactured components.
