Um in der Ausbildung zum KFZ-Mechatroniker die neuen Technologien der Elektromobilität zu unterrichten, benötigt die Landrat-Gruber-Schule ein Elektro-Auto, sowie die dazugehörigen Spezialwerkzeuge, Testgerät und Ladestation. Des Weiteren ist die Anschaffung von E-Mountainbikes geplant, welche in der Fahrradwerkstatt im ersten Ausbildungsjahr der Zweiradmechaniker genutzt werden. Außerdem soll die Lernsoftware "electude" angeschafft werden, die den Unterricht im Grundlagenbereich Elektrotechnik und in den speziellen Hybrid- und Elektromobilitätslernfeldern unterstützt.
