La propuesta incluye instrumentación científica avanzada para análisis elemental que renovaría el equipamiento de la División de Espectrocopía de los Servicios Centrales de la Universidad de Cádiz. El equipamiento actual se consideró obsoleto por los proveedores en el año 2013, como se observa en las notificaciones adjuntas, y su renovación aumentaría las prestaciones analíticas que puede ofrecer la División. Por ello la propuesta incluye un instrumento de última generación, un espectrómetro de masas con plasma acoplado inductivamente triple cuadrupolo, que solventa algunos de los problemas que presentaba la técnica. Este equipamiento se encuentra escasamente disponible para los investigadores y empresas andaluzas, por lo que constituiría un atractivo para la comunidad científica y permitiría establecer nuevas colaboraciones con otras universidades o empresas. Además, se incluye un espectrómetro de emisión atómica con plasma acoplado inductivamente con visión dual que sustituya al que actualmente existe en la división. Este tipo de instrumentos presenta una alta demanda que no es posible cubrir a menos que exista una amplia implantación. Actualmente, el equipo existente es el único disponible en la Universidad de Cádiz y es precisa su sustitución. Finalmente se incluye un equipo de purificación de agua que permita obtener un agua con la calidad necesaria para conseguir las máximas prestaciones en cuanto a límites de detección de los instrumentos que se proponen adquirir. The proposal includes advanced scientific instrumentation for elemental analysis that would renew the equipment of the Spectrocopy Division of the Central Services of the University of Cádiz. The current equipment was considered obsolete by suppliers in 2013, as noted in the attached notifications, and its renewal would increase the analytical benefits that the Division can offer. Therefore, the proposal includes a state-of-the-art instrument, a mass spectrometer with inductively coupled triple quadrupole plasma, which solves some of the problems presented by the technique. This equipment is scarcely available to Andalusian researchers and companies, so it would be an attraction for the scientific community and would allow to establish new collaborations with other universities or companies. In addition, an atomic emission spectrometer with inductively coupled plasma with dual vision that replaces what currently exists in the division is included. This type of instruments presents a high demand that can not be covered unless there is a broad implementation. Currently, the existing equipment is the only one available at the University of Cádiz and its replacement is necessary. Finally, a water purification equipment is included to obtain a water with the necessary quality to achieve the maximum performance in terms of detection limits of the instruments that are proposed to be acquired.
