    LA INVESTIGACION DE LOS PROCESOS DE CONDICIONAMIENTO DEL MIEDO ES FUNDAMENTAL PARA ENTENDER EL ORIGEN Y MANTENIMIENTO DE LOS TRASTORNOS DE ANSIEDAD, ASI COMO PARA EL DESARROLLO DE INTERVENCIONES CONDUCTUALES EFICACES. EL MIEDO CONDICIONADO SE PUEDE GENERALIZAR A SITUACIONES EN LAS QUE NO SE HA EXPERIMENTADO NINGUN EVENTO TRAUMATICO. TRADICIONALMENTE, LA GENERALIZACION SE HA PLANTEADO COMO UNA FORMA DE TRANSFERENCIA A TRAVES DE UN CONTINUO DE SIMILITUD PERCEPTIVA ENTRE EL ESTIMULO DIRECTAMENTE CONDICIONADO Y LOS ESTIMULOS DE GENERALIZACION. SIN EMBARGO, UNA INCIPIENTE EVIDENCIA EMPIRICA MUESTRA QUE LA GENERALIZACION TAMBIEN PUEDE OCURRIR ENTRE ESTIMULOS FISICAMENTE DIFERENTES PERO SIMBOLICAMENTE RELACIONADOS. POR EJEMPLO, LOS ESTIMULOS PERTENECIENTES A UNA MISMA CLASE DE EQUIVALENCIA PARECEN SER FUNCIONALMENTE INTERCAMBIABLES: CUANDO UNO DE ELLOS ADQUIERA UNA FUNCION (V.G. ESTO PERMITIRIA EXPLICAR LA ELICITACION INDIRECTA DEL MIEDO POR PARTE DE ESTIMULOS QUE NO TIENEN UNA HISTORIA DE CONDICIONAMIENTO AVERSIVO NI SE PARECEN AL ESTIMULO AVERSIVO DIRECTAMENTE CONDICIONADO. DADA SU POTENCIAL RELEVANCIA, SE HACE NECESARIO ANALIZAR EXPERIMENTALMENTE LA GENERALIZACION SIMBOLICA DEL MIEDO MEDIANTE MEDIDAS PSICOFISIOLOGICAS ESPECIFICAMENTE SENSIBLES, COMO EL PARPADEO POR SOBRESALTO. HASTA EL MOMENTO ESTA MEDIDA NO SE HA EMPLEADO EN ESTUDIOS QUE INVESTIGUEN ESTA FORMA DE TRANSFERENCIA DEL APRENDIZAJE._x000D_ ESTE PROYECTO PLANTEA UNA SERIE DE CUATRO EXPERIMENTOS. EL EXPERIMENTO 1 INVESTIGARA LA TRANSFERENCIA DEL MIEDO A TRAVES DE RELACIONES DE EQUIVALENCIA. LOS PARTICIPANTES PASARAN POR UN PROCEDIMIENTO DE IGUALACION A LA MUESTRA PARA LA FORMACION DE DOS CLASES DE EQUIVALENCIA (A1-B1-C1-D1 Y A2-B2-C2-D2). POSTERIORMENTE, UN ELEMENTO DE CADA CLASE SERA EMPLEADO EN UN PROCEDIMIENTO DE CONDICIONAMIENTO AVERSIVO DIFERENCIAL (EC+: B1; EC- B2) CON EL REFLEJO DE PARPADEO COMO VARIABLE DEPENDIENTE PRINCIPAL. EN POSTERIORES TESTS CON C1, D1, C2 Y D2, SE ESPERA ENCONTRAR QUE C1 Y D1 FACILITEN EL REFLEJO DE SOBRESALTO. EL EXPERIMENTO 2 INVESTIGARA LA TRANSFERENCIA DE LA INHIBICION LATENTE A TRAVES DE RELACIONES DE EQUIVALENCIA. UNA VEZ FORMADAS LAS CLASES COMO EN EL EXPERIMENTO 1, SE PREEXPONDRA A LOS PARTICIPANTES A C1, D1, C2 Y D2, PARA POSTERIORMENTE PASAR A LA ADQUISICION DEL CONDICIONAMIENTO CON B1 (EC+) Y B2 (EC-). SE ESPERA QUE LA PREEXPOSICION DIFICULTE EL CONDICIONAMIENTO AVERSIVO CON B1. EL EXPERIMENTO 3 UTILIZARA PROCEDIMIENTOS SIMILARES PARA INVESTIGAR LA TRANSFORMACION DE FUNCIONES DE MIEDO A TRAVES DE MARCOS RELACIONALES DE COMPARACION (MAYOR QUE/MENOR QUE). SE UTILIZARA UN ENTRENAMIENTO SIMILAR AL DE INFERENCIA TRANSITIVA PARA FORMAR UNA RED RELACIONAL COMPARATIVA. EL ELEMENTO INTERMEDIO DE LA RED SE UTILIZARA COMO EC EN UN PROCEDIMIENTO DE CONDICIONAMIENTO DE CLAVE UNICA. SE ESPERA ENCONTRAR QUE LOS ELEMENTOS SIMBOLICAMENTE MAYORES Y MENORES PRODUZCAN, RESPECTIVAMENTE, POTENCIACION E INHIBICION DEL PARPADEO POR SOBRESALTO. FINALMENTE, EL EXPERIMENTO 4 TENDRA CARACTER EXPLORATORIO E INVESTIGARA LAS BASES NEUROBIOLOGICAS DE LA GENERALIZACION SIMBOLICA DEL MIEDO MEDIANTE EEG DE SUPERFICIE DE ALTA DENSIDAD. FOR EXAMPLE, STIMULI BELONGING TO THE SAME EQUIVALENCE CLASS APPEAR TO BE FUNCTIONALLY INTERCHANGEABLE: WHEN ONE OF THEM ACQUIRES A FUNCTION (V.G. IS CONDITIONED AVERSIVALY) THE REST OF THE CLASS ELEMENTS WILL ACQUIRE THE SAME FUNCTION WITHOUT EXPLICIT TRAINING FOR IT. THIS WOULD EXPLAIN THE INDIRECT ELICITATION OF FEAR BY STIMULI THAT DO NOT HAVE A HISTORY OF AVERSIVE CONDITIONING NOR RESEMBLE THE DIRECTLY CONDITIONED AVERSIVE STIMULUS. GIVEN ITS POTENTIAL RELEVANCE, IT IS NECESSARY TO ANALYSE EXPERIMENTALLY THE SYMBOLIC GENERALISATION OF FEAR BY MEANS OF SPECIFICALLY SENSITIVE PSICOPHYSIOLOGICAL MEASURES, SUCH AS BLINKING BY SHOCK. Until the time this measure has not been taken into account in the studies that are looking for this TRANSFERENCE FORM of apprehending._x000D_ this project is intended to be one of four experiences. EXPERIMENT 1 WILL INVESTIGATE THE TRANSFER OF FEAR THROUGH EQUIVALENCE RELATIONSHIPS. PARTICIPANTS WILL GO THROUGH AN EQUALISATION PROCEDURE TO THE SAMPLE FOR THE FORMATION OF TWO EQUIVALENCE CLASSES (A1-B1-C1-D1 AND A2-B2-C2-D2). SUBSEQUENTLY, ONE ELEMENT OF EACH CLASS WILL BE USED IN A DIFFERENTIAL AVERSIVE CONDITIONING PROCEDURE (EC+: B1; EC-B2) WITH THE FLICKER REFLEX AS THE PRIMARY DEPENDENT VARIABLE. IN SUBSEQUENT TESTS WITH C1, D1, C2 AND D2, IT IS EXPECTED THAT C1 AND D1 WILL FACILITATE THE PROTRUDING REFLEX. EXPERIMENT 2 WILL INVESTIGATE THE TRANSFER OF LATENT INHIBITION THROUGH EQUIVALENCE RELATIONSHIPS. ONCE THE CLASSES WERE FORMED AS IN EXPERIMENT 1, PARTICIPANTS WERE PREEXPONDRA TO C1, D1, C2 AND D2, AND THEN PROCEED TO THE ACQUISITION OF CONDITIONING WITH B1 (EC+) AND B2 (EC-). PREEXPOSICION IS EXPECTED TO HINDER AVERSIVE CONDITIONING WITH B1. EXPERIMENT 3 WILL USE SIMILAR PROCEDURES TO INVESTIGATE THE TRANSFORMATION OF FEAR FUNCTIONS THROUGH RELATIONAL COMPARISON FRAMEWORKS (GREATER THAN/LESS THAN). A TRAINING SIMILAR TO THAT OF TRANSITIVE INFERENCE WILL BE USED TO FORM A COMPARATIVE RELATIONAL NETWORK. THE INTERMEDIATE ELEMENT OF THE NETWORK SHALL BE USED AS EC IN A SINGLE KEY CONDITIONING PROCEDURE. IT IS EXPECTED THAT THE SYMBOLICALLY LARGER AND MINOR ELEMENTS PRODUCE, RESPECTIVELY, POTENCY AND INHIBITION OF FLICKERING BY SHOCK. FINALLY, EXPERIMENT 4 WILL HAVE AN EXPLORATORY CHARACTER AND WILL INVESTIGATE THE NEUROBIOLOGICAL BASES OF THE SYMBOLIC GENERALISATION OF FEAR THROUGH HIGH DENSITY SURFACE EEG. FOLLOW THE SAME SCHEME AS EXPERIMENT 1, BUT TAKE AS THE MAIN MEASURE THE EEG ACTIVITY FROM THE ANTERIOR MEDIAL CINGULATE CORTEX. (English)
