LOS RESULTADOS QUE LAS MAS RECIENTES INVESTIGACIONES ESTAN OFRECIENDO PARA LOS PUERTOS Y DISTRITOS MARITIMOS DE LO QUE SE HA DADO EN DENOMINAR EL ARCO ATLANTICO DEL SUROESTE PENINSULAR (CAMPOS Y BERMEJO, 2017 EDS.), CONSOLIDAN UNA IMPORTANTE LINEA INVESTIGADORA INICIADA HACE ALGUNOS AÑOS EN EL CONTEXTO DE UN MARCO PROYECTUAL DE LA CONVOCATORIA DEL MINISTERIO QUE TUVO COMO OBJETO DE ESTUDIO LOS PUERTOS ATLANTICOS BETICOS Y LUSITANOS Y SU RELACION COMERCIAL CON OSTIA ANTICA (DEATLANTIR. HAR2014-58326-P). EL ANALISIS COMPARATIVO DE TODO UN CONJUNTO DE ENCLAVES PORTUARIOS, OSSONOBA, MYRTILIS, BALSA, ONOBA, HISPALIS Y GADES, Y SUS RELACIONES COMERCIALES CON LA PENINSULA ITALICA Y OTRAS REGIONES MEDITERRANEAS, HA PERMITIDO PROFUNDIZAR EN EL CONOCIMIENTO DE TODOS Y CADA UNO DE ELLOS, LO QUE HA LLEVADO A PONER DE RELIEVE SIGNIFICATIVAS RELACIONES COMERCIALES, DEMOGRAFICAS E INCLUSO URBANISTICAS EN LO TOCANTE AL DESARROLLO DE SUS AREAS PORTUARIAS, ENTRE OTRAS CUESTIONES. DE ELLO QUE A DIA DE HOY PODAMOS HABLAR DE UN HINTERLAND MARITIMO COMUN, CON INTERESES ECONOMICOS COMPARTIDOS ENTRE LOS GRUPOS DE PODER URBANOS DE LOS DISTINTOS PUERTOS BETICOS Y LUSITANOS ATLANTICOS, COMO ASI DEMUESTRA LA EPIGRAFIA, NUMISMATICA, PROSOPOGRAFIA DE ESTAS CIUDADES Y LOS CARGAMENTOS DE UN BUEN NUMERO DE PECIOS ATLANTICOS Y MEDITERRANEOS. IGUALMENTE ESTAS RELACIONES NO PERMANECEN EN UNA ESCALA LOCAL O REGIONAL, SINO QUE MAS BIEN AL CONTRARIO SE HAN DETECTADO TRAZAS DE LAS MISMAS EN EL CONTEXTO DEL MEDITERRANEO OCCIDENTAL Y DE MANERA PREFERENTE EN DIVERSAS AREAS DE LA PENINSULA ITALICA, ESPECIALMENTE EN PORTUS/ROMA Y EL AREA VESUBIANA CON POMPEYA COMO PUERTO PRINCIPAL. ELLO DIBUJA TODO UN CONJUNTO DE COMPLEJAS REDES COMERCIALES Y NEXOS ECONOMICOS QUE PERMITEN CONFIRMAN LAS PREMISAS INICIALES DE AQUEL PRIMER PROYECTO, LAS CUALES PASABAN POR COMPRENDER, DE UN LADO, A ESTE CONJUNTO DE PUERTOS DENTRO DE UN AREA INDIVIDUALIZADA EN EL MARCO SURHISPANO Y, DE OTRO, COMO UN AREA DE ESPECIAL IMPORTANCIA GEOESTRATEGICA Y ECONOMICA PARA EL DEVENIR DEL IMPERIO EN SUS SIGLOS ALTO Y MEDIO IMPERIALES FUNDAMENTALMENTE. NO ES EXTRAÑO, POR TANTO, QUE EN ESTE CONTEXTO INVESTIGADOR SE HAYAN PODIDO PLANTEAR NUEVAS PREMISAS DE ESTUDIO A RAIZ DE UN PRIMER ACERCAMIENTO A LA PROBLEMATICA EXISTENTE EN TORNO AL TRASIEGO DE DETERMINADOS PRODUCTOS DE CONTROL ESTATAL, CASO DE LOS METALLA DEL SO HISPANO, EMBARCADOS EN ESTOS PUERTOS ATLANTICOS. EL PROYECTO QUE AQUI SE PRESENTA SURGE COMO CONTINUADOR DE AQUEL EN UNA SEGUNDA FASE, PERO CON UNA NUEVA PROYECCION MAS HISPANA, AL ENGLOBAR AREAS CON LAS QUE SE HA DEMOSTRADO UNA ESPECIAL VINCULACION, CASO DEL LEVANTE HISPANO EN PUERTOS COMO VALENTIA Y EL AREA DE GALLIA NARBONENSIS A TRAVES DE LOS DISTRITOS MARITIMOS DE NARBO, ARLES O LA PROPIA MARSELLA. IGUALMENTE ESTA PROYECCION SE IRRADIA HACIA LA FACHADA ATLANTICA, HACIA ENCLAVES PORTUARIOS QUE JALONAN TODA UNA SERIE DE RUTAS MARCADAS POR EL TRASIEGO DE MERCANCIAS ORIGINARIAS DE ESTE AREA DEL SUROESTE PENINSULAR. THE RESULTS THAT THE MOST RECENT RESEARCH IS OFFERING TO THE PORTS AND MARITIME DISTRICTS OF WHAT HAS BEEN CALLED THE ATLANTIC ARC OF THE SOUTHWEST OF THE IBERIAN PENINSULA (CAMPOS Y BERMEJO, 2017 EDS.), CONSOLIDATE AN IMPORTANT RESEARCH LINE BEGUN A FEW YEARS AGO IN THE CONTEXT OF A PROJECT FRAMEWORK OF A MINISTRY CALL WITH THE OBJECT OF STUDY THE BETIC AND LUSITANIAN ATLANTIC PORTS AND ITS COMMERCIAL RELATION WITH OSTIA ANTICA (DEATLANTIR. HAR2014-58326-P). THE COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF A WHOLE SET OF PORTS ENCLAVES, OSSONOBA, MYRTILIS, BALSA, ONOBA, HISPALIS AND GADES, AND THEIR COMMERCIAL RELATIONS WITH THE ITALIC PENINSULA AND OTHER MEDITERRANEAN REGIONS, HAS ALLOWED TO DEEPEN THE KNOWLEDGE OF EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM, WHICH HAS LED TO HIGHLIGHTING SIGNIFICANT COMMERCIAL, DEMOGRAPHIC AND EVEN URBAN RELATIONS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF ITS PORT AREAS, AMONG OTHER ISSUES. FROM THIS WE CAN SPEAK TODAY OF A COMMON MARITIME HINTERLAND, WITH ECONOMIC INTERESTS SHARED BETWEEN THE URBAN POWER GROUPS OF THE DIFFERENT PORTS BETIC AND LUSITANIAN ATLANTIC, AS IS EVIDENCED BY THE EPIGRAPHY, NUMISMATICS AND PROSOPOGRAPHY OF THESE CITIES AND SHIPMENTS OF A LARGE NUMBER OF ATLANTIC AND MEDITERRANEAN WRECKS. IN THE SAME WAY, THESE RELATIONSHIPS DO NOT STAY ON A LOCAL OR REGIONAL SCALE, BUT RATHER ON THE CONTRARY, TRACES OF THEM HAVE BEEN DETECTED IN THE CONTEXT OF THE WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN AND PREFERABLY IN VARIOUS AREAS OF THE ITALIAN PENINSULA, ESPECIALLY IN PORTUS / ROME AND THE VESUVIAN AREA WITH POMPEII AS MAIN PORT. THIS DRAW A WHOLE SET OF COMPLEX COMMERCIAL NETWORKS AND ECONOMIC LINKS THAT ALLOW US TO CONFIRM THE INITIAL PREMISES OF THAT FIRST PROJECT, WHICH WENT THROUGH TO UNDERSTAND, FIRSTLY, THIS SET OF PORTS WITHIN AN AREA INDIVIDUALIZED IN THE SOUTHERN HISPANIC FRAME, AND SECONDLY AS AN AREA OF SPECIAL GEOSTRATEGIC AND ECONOMIC IMPORTANCE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE EMPIRE FUNDAMENTALLY IN ITS UPPER AND MIDDLE CENTURIES. THEREFORE IT IS NOT SURPRISING, THAT IN THIS RESEARCH CONTEXT WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PROPOSE NEW PREMISES OF STUDY AS A RESULT OF A FIRST APPROACH TO THE PROBLEMATIC EXISTING AROUND THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN PRODUCTS OF STATE CONTROL, CASE OF THE METALLA OF THE SOUTHWEST HISPANIC, EMBARKED IN THESE ATLANTIC PORTS. THE PROJECT PRESENTED HERE ARISE AS A CONTINUATION OF THAT IN A SECOND PHASE, BUT WITH A NEW MORE HISPANIC PROJECTION, AS IT INCLUDES AREAS WITH WHICH SPECIAL LINK HAS BEEN DEMONSTRATED, CASE OF THE HISPANIC UPRISING PORTS LIKE VALENTIA AND THE AREA OF GALLIA NARBONENSIS THROUGH THE MARITIME DISTRICTS OF NARBO, ARLES OR MARSEILLES ITSELF. IN THE SAME WAY THIS PROJECTION RADIATES TOWARDS THE ATLANTIC FACADE, TO PORT ENCLAVES THAT MARK A WHOLE SERIES OF ROUTES MARKED BY THE TRANSFER OF GOODS ORIGINATING IN THIS AREA OF THE SOUTHWEST PENINSULAR.
