    La presente propuesta tiene como objetivo instalar dos sistemas de recirculación de agua (RAS) que permita el control de los parámetros ambientales del agua, entre ellos la temperatura, de la cual dependen muchos procesos biológicos. Además, se tendría un mayor control de las enfermedades y evitar los vertidos del agua usada al exterior, minimizando el impacto medioambiental y contribuyendo a un desarrollo sostenible. Este equipamiento se ubicará en las instalaciones del Servicio Zona de Cultivo / Animalario del Instituto de Ciencias Marinas de Andalucía (ICMAN) del CSIC localizado en el Campus Universitario Río San Pedro de la Universidad de Cádiz. Investigadores del mismo centro y de la UCA serán potenciales usuarios de estos sistemas debido a las activas colaboraciones entre los investigadores de ambas instituciones. Estos sistemas supondrán un avance científico-tecnológico debido a que muchos de los procesos fisiológicos que estudian los investigadores de ICMAN son dependientes de temperatura. En la actualidad, el agua se capta de pozos y se obtiene a una temperatura constante de 20º C todo el año. Por lo tanto, la posibilidad de regular la temperatura del agua, factor limitante hasta ahora, incidirá en la calidad de las investigaciones, los resultados obtenidos y su interpretación. Debido a que las empresas de acuicultura están evolucionado hacia la instalación de estos sistemas, la experimentación que se realice será directamente transferible al sector productivo (Spanish)

    The objective of this proposal is to install two recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) that allow control for the environmental parameters of water, including temperature, on which many biological processes depend. In addition, there would be greater control of diseases and avoid discharges of used water, minimizing the environmental impact and contributing to sustainable development. This equipment will be located in the facilities of the Farming Zone / Animal Service of the Institute of Marine Sciences of Andalusia (ICMAN) of the CSIC located in the Campus Río San Pedro of the University of Cádiz. Researchers from this centre and the UCA will be potential users of these systems due to the active collaborations between the researchers of both institutions. These systems will suppose a scientific-technological advance because many, if not all, the physiological processes studied by ICMAN researchers are temperature dependent. At present, water is captured from wells and is obtained at a constant temperature of 20 ºC all year round. Therefore, the possibility of regulating water temperature, a limiting factor up to now, will increase the quality of the research, the obtained results and their interpretation. Likewise, aquaculture companies are evolving towards the installation of these systems, so the experimentation that is carried out using these systems will be directly transferable to the productive sector.
