With the development of the Lechweg, the cooperation area along the Lech from Lech am Arlberg to Füssen has taken a path towards quality tourism. Further development in this sense has already been achieved through the Interreg project "Winterwandern Allgäu-Tirol" and the Interreg project "Cross-border Lech Experience". After intensive strategic considerations and based on natural healing resources and healing competences around the Kneipp health education the partners decided to create a common health tourism adventure space. The wild river Lech not only connects the partners, it is also symbolic of the power of nature, which has healing effects on stress-plagued people. The creation of a cross-border health-tourism experience space is based on joint product development and qualification in the area of Kneipp health education as well as concerted marketing including an international symposium on the topic of traditional european medical procedures (Medicinicum Lech). This event will be implemented without funding. The experience space is made visible through a profiling Kneipp infrastructure beginning in the portal town of Füssen. The central element of the cross-border health region is Bad Kreckelmooser healing water, which is made available as a public good. Within the framework of the project, a competence network for Kneipp's health teaching is being developed with the involvement of clinics / universities / colleges. The project aims for an extension of the seasonality. (English)
