The Digital Agenda Bodensee (DAB) is a sub-project of IBH-Lab KMUdigital. The IBH-Lab KMUdigital is a research and innovation network of universities and practice partners from business, in which interdisciplinary application-orientated solutions for the digital transformation of small and medium companies (SMEs) are worked out. The DAB sub-project develops options for action and approaches to improve political, legal and infrastructural framework conditions for SMEs in the Lake Constance region, together with stakeholders from SMEs, interested associations, politics, administration and science. The results are published in a white paper. Digitalisation is one of the central challenges in business. It has effects on areas within organisations (investment volume, qualification of existing staff, finding new specialists and organisational structure) as well as the general environment of a company. Central to this in particular are the political, legal, infrastructural and skill-promoting framework conditions, which can encourage or hinder the digitalisation of companies. The Digital Agenda Bodensee (DAB) sub-project studies which of these framework conditions can be actively created within the IBH countries, as well as cross-border in the Lake Constance region, to support the digital transformation of SMEs. The results are published in a white paper. Based on the green paper, in a second phase a white paper will be drafted, with stakeholders (SMEs, interested associations, politics and administration) to include options for action and approaches, in order to be able to offer SMEs the best possible infrastructure for innovation and intelligent further training measures, and to be able to enable successful digital transformation.
