Prema Zakonu o Nacionalnoj infrastrukturi prostornih podataka (NN 56/2013, 52/2018) sva tijela javne vlasti obvezna su učiniti svoje prostorne podatke i usluge dostupnima u okviru Nacionalne infrastrukture prostornih podataka (NIPP). S obzirom da je prema Zakonu o NIPP-u nužno u NIPP uključiti sve jedinice područne (regionalne) i lokalne samouprave koje u svojoj nadležnosti imaju prostorne podatke, projektom će se ojačati kapaciteti službenika Državne geodetske uprave i zaposlenika jedinica lokalne i područne (regionalne) samouprave kako bi se aktivno uključili u uspostavu i provedbu NIPP-a. According to the National Spatial Data Infrastructure Act (Narodne Novine (NN; official Gazette of the Republic of Croatia) Nos 56/2013, 52/2018), all public authorities are obliged to make their spatial data and services available under the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSIs). Given that, according to the NPA Act, it is necessary to include all regional governments and local authorities falling under territorial scope under its jurisdiction, the project will strengthen the capacity of the State Geodetic Administration (SGA) and the employees of local and regional self-government units to actively engage in the establishment and implementation of the NSDI.
