At the level of the Adour basin, several territories are exposed to the risk of flooding. Given the challenges and local contexts (restoration of the Adour mobility space on the upstream sector and the SLGRI on the Dax sector by the Adour Institution), the Adour Institution wishes to carry out, with the support of local elected representatives and in agreement with local authorities, the development of two PAPIs as well as a study on the classification of containment systems and the restoration of flood expansion fields. These projects respond to the principle of sustainable development (reducing human costs and flood-related equipment) by reconciling the maintenance of uses and the preservation of the environment.
