Die Innovation des Projektes Lightness.NRW besteht in der Entwicklung einer Prozesskette für die Implementierung einer neuartigen Material-/Prozess Kombination für die Umformung von hochfesten Aluminiumlegierungen in Großserie. Das Projektkonsortium ist so zusammengestellt dass von der Entwicklung der Legierungen bis zur Konstruktion der Bauteile und dem Bau der Fertigungsstraße alle notwendigen Entwicklungsschritte inklusive Fertigungstechnologie mit namhaften Global-Playern besetzt sind. The innovation of the Lightness.NRW project consists of the development of a process chain for the implementation of a novel material/process combination for the forming of high-strength aluminium alloys in large series. The project consortium is composed in such a way that from the development of alloys to the construction of the components and the construction of the production line, all necessary development steps including manufacturing technology are occupied with well-known global players.
