With the help of this project, a demand-oriented training of young professionals and managers for the sustainable and material use of the wood raw material is to be carried out. This applies in particular to all areas of construction and engineering. On the other hand, there is a marked shortage of young professionals and managers in STEM, especially in rural areas. The new study programme for timber construction is intended to extend the existing range of studies in civil engineering-building. In particular, the following topics will be addressed and implemented in university teaching and cooperative applied research and development with the Dual Partners: — Structural planning with wood — Wood-based materials — Wood hybrid construction — Serial construction — Use of hardwood in multi-storey construction — Resource efficient use — Multi-storey construction (English)
