Con el objeto de mejorarel entorno físico, económico y social del Barrio de la Caridad, se llevará a cabo un proyecto integral de rehabilitación del entorno físico, económico y social. Se pretende la dotación y modernización de nuevas instalaciones del Mercado Ingeniero Torroja, no alterándose ningún elemento estructural o elementos que puedan modificar la imagen primitiva interior o exterior. Los elementos a conservar consisten en pintado interior y exterior (bóveda, cúpula, paramentos, actualmente en mal estado de conservación), previa reparación de grietas y fisuras existentes con morteros específicos tipo Silka o similar, en interior y exterior, incluso con recuperación de volúmenes en su caso, instalación de rejillas y canaletas, ubicadas en las calles interiores del Mercado. En el exterior se rehabilitará igualmente, actuando sobre el pintado y integral de bóveda, cúpula y parámentos. A su vez, se dotarán nuevos cuartos destinados a los contadores de luz, para suministrar el sistema de luz eléctrico a cada puesto de manera independiente y conforme a la normativa vigente en la materia. Finalmente se ornamentará el exterior de la Plaza del Mercado y calles del entorno, con jardineras y ornamentación floral. Como elemento dinamizador del Barrio, se está desarrolla una Agenda Gastrocultural, contando con actores y colectivos clave del Barrio, con la intención de fomentar iniciativas gastronómicas, culturales e interculturales. In order to improve the physical, economic and social environment of the Barrio de la Caridad, a comprehensive project will be carried out to rehabilitate the physical, economic and social environment. The aim is to equip and modernise new facilities in the Torroja Engineering Market, not altering any structural element or elements that can modify the primitive interior or exterior image. The elements to be preserved consist of interior and exterior painted (dome, dome, walls, currently in poor condition), after repairing existing cracks and cracks with specific Silka or similar mortars, indoor and outdoor, even with recovery of volumes where appropriate, installation of grids and gutters, located in the inner streets of the Market. Outside it will also be rehabilitated, acting on the painted and integral vault, dome and paraments. In turn, new rooms will be equipped for light meters, to supply the electric light system to each position in an independent manner and in accordance with the regulations in force in this field. Finally, the exterior of the Plaza del Mercado and surrounding streets will be ornamented, with gardeners and floral ornamentation. As a dynamic element of the neighborhood, a gastrocultural agenda is being developed, with key actors and groups from the neighborhood, with the intention of promoting gastronomic, cultural and intercultural initiatives.
