The idea of the project started from the needs of the community in which the educational units are found in conjunction with the priorities established by Romania through the Partnership Agreement 2014-2020, through which we aim globally to reduce disparities in economic and social development between Romania and the Member States, to increase the level of education in the population, to increase participation in education starting with the early one and to decrease the level of early school leaving, a goal assumed by Romania through the Strategy for reducing early school leaving. By 2020 we want to meet the PTS rate of 11.3 %, in 2015 this rate is 17.3 %. According to a study conducted by World Vision Romania, the percentage of children who leave school each year is 2.4 %, which makes it extremely difficult for Romania to achieve the proposed target. Without a concrete/strategic intervention to address the real problems faced by children and their families correlated with access and participate in school, the target assumed for 2020 will not be achieved. Following the provisions of this country objective, we proposed for the project the following GENERAL OBIECTIV: increasing the level of education in 90 children between 2 and 5 years old, 250 children between 6 and 16 years old from the commune of Pauca by implementing prevention and intervention measures based on an individualised educational plan, in an integrated approach with the involvement of significant adults relevant for education (parents/guardians, teachers, community). The project addresses a rural community with low human capital population, low level of education, low level of employment, isolated from more developed communities such as urban ones. Rural areas are lagging behind urban areas in terms of sustainable, socio-economic development, including general school education/results. But the risk of poverty and social exclusion is indirectly proportional to the level of pers education, the lower the level of education, the higher the risk of poverty. Intervention in the education of children in rural areas is desirable and to break the vicious circle of poverty, lack of education and disinterested attitude towards education that perpetuates from one generation to another. Without a structured intervention, with long-lasting impact, this situation will continue, becoming even more acute. Almost half of school-aged children live in rural areas, but they account for only around 24 % of upper secondary school pupils. More than 25 % of people in rural areas have completed primary education or have not completed any formal education, while in urban areas only 2.6 % have similar levels of education. In order to achieve this objective we propose a project to address the community of Pauca, built so as to respond directly and concretely to the needs of this community, in a small/simple project, (English)
