Pagrindinė problema, kad tuberkuliozės (toliau – TB) plitimą sąlygoja medicininiai, socialiniai ir ekonominiai faktoriai. Dauguma sergančiųjų TB yra bedarbiai, neturintys nuolatinio darbo, piktnaudžiaujantys alkoholiu, turintys blogas gyvenimo ir sanitarines higienines sąlygas, nuolat gydymo režimą pažeidžiantys asmenys, todėl atsiranda atsparios TB mikobakterijų padermės. Projekto tikslas – mažinti Biržų rajono savivaldybės gyventojų sergamumą ir mirtingumą nuo tuberkuliozės, išvengti atsparių vaistams tuberkuliozės mikobakterijų atsiradimo ir plitimo. Projekto tikslinės grupės – asmenys, Biržų rajono savivaldybės gyventojai, sergantys tuberkulioze, kuriems LR sveikatos apsaugos ministro 2016 m. vasario 12 d. įsakymo Nr. V-237 „Dėl Tiesiogiai stebimo trumpo gydymo kurso paslaugų teikimo tvarkos aprašo patvirtinimo“ nustatyta tvarka gydytojas pulmonologas paskyrė ambulatorinį tiesiogiai stebimą trumpo gydymo kursą. Įgyvendinus projektą bus mažinamas Biržų rajono savivaldybės gyventojų sergamumas ir mirtingumas nuo tuberkuliozės, bus išvengta atsparių vaistams tuberkuliozės mikobakterijų atsiradimo ir plitimo, gerinama tuberkuliozės kontrolės priežiūrą – DOTS strategiją visose sveikatos priežiūros grandyse ir kartu sprendžiamos socialinės problemos. Socialinė parama – tai tuberkulioze sergantiems maisto talonai produktams, tarpmiestinių ir vietinių (priemiestinių) kelionių kompensavimas. Tokia parama skatina asmenis, sergančius TB, nenutraukti gydymo. (Lithuanian)

The main problem is that the spread of tuberculosis (TB) is due to medical, social and economic factors. The majority of TB sufferers are unemployed, who do not have a permanent job, who abuse alcohol, have poor living and sanitary hygiene conditions, and are constantly violating the treatment regime, resulting in resistant strains of TB mycobacteria. The aim of the project is to reduce the morbidity and mortality of the population of Biržai district municipality from tuberculosis, to prevent the development and spread of drug-resistant tuberculosis mycobacteria. The target groups of the project are persons, residents of Biržai district municipality with tuberculosis, for whom a pulmonologist appointed an outpatient course of short treatment directly monitored in accordance with the procedure laid down in Order No V-237 of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania of 12 February 2016 approving the procedure for the provision of services of a short course of direct observation. The project will reduce the incidence and mortality of the population of Biržai district municipality from tuberculosis, prevent the development and spread of drug-resistant tuberculosis mycobacteria, improve TB control surveillance — a DOTS strategy across the healthcare chain and at the same time address social problems. Social assistance means food vouchers for tuberculosis, compensation for long-distance and local (suburban) travel. Such support encourages people with TB to not stop treatment. (English)
