Αντικείμενο του έργου είναι η κατασκευή της Εγκατάστασης Επεξεργασίας Λυμάτων (ΕΕΛ) του οικισμού Φούρνων του Δήμου Φούρνων Κορσεών, Νομού Σάμου. Η ολοκλήρωση των προβλεπόμενων έργων επεξεργασίας και ασφαλούς διάθεσης των τριτοβάθμια επεξεργασμένων λυμάτων θα συμβάλλει αποφασιστικά στην προστασία της παραθαλάσσιας περιοχής και του παράκτιου περιβάλλοντος του στενού του διαύλου των Φούρνων Κορσεών, νοτιοδυτικά του οικισμού των Φούρνων, το οποίο είναι χαρακτηρισμένο ως βιότοπος (Λιβάδια Ποσειδωνίας) Natura 2000 (GR4120006), που αποτελεί καταφύγιο της Μεσογειακής φώκιας monachus monachus, καθώς και κύριο πόλο έλξης της τουριστικής κίνησης και πηγή οικονομικής ανάπτυξης. The object of the project is the construction of the Wastewater Treatment Facility (EEL) of the Fourna settlement of the Municipality of Fourni Korseon, Samos Prefecture.
