Sanacija obalnog kolektora postojećeg sustava odvodnje spriječit će se onečišćenje tla i voda.Proširenjem javnog sustava odvodnje prikupit će se dodatne količine otpadnih voda koje se trenutačno neadekvatno ispuštaju i/ili zbrinjavaju.Izgradnjom UPOV-a 39.000 ES pročistiti će se otpadne vode javnog sustava odvodnje i prikupljene septičke vode sa dijelova aglomeracije na kojima nije isplativa gradnja javnog sustava odvodnje.Dogradnjom vodospremnika na lokaciji „Komorovac" stvorit će se dovoljne rezerve pitke vode, te time izbjeći „kritična“ stanja vodoopskrbnog sustava koja se javljaju za vrijeme turističke sezone.Izgradnjom spojnog cjevovoda obilaznice, poboljšati će se pogonska stanja, te omogućiti bolje povezivanje vodopskrbnih zona.
