Projekt zakłada budowę nowego terminalu promowego we wschodniej części Portu Gdynia wraz z infrastrukturą towarzyszącą umożliwiającą sprawną obsługę ładunków i pasażerów oraz poprawę dostępności transportowej portu oraz przebudowę układu komunikacyjnego do wschodniej części Portu Gdynia w obrębie Węzła Ofiar Grudnia ’70.Podstawowym założeniem projektu jest stworzenie warunków do dalszego rozwoju usług promowych zgodnie z obserwowanymi trendami rynkowymi.Terminal przejmie funkcje dotychczas eksploatowanego, niedużego terminalu na Nabrzeżu Helskim II. W założonym kształcie projekt przyczyni się do realizacji Strategicznych Wytycznych Wspólnoty, Strategii Europa 2020, Białej Księgi Transportu oraz krajowej Strategii Rozwoju Transportu do 2020 r. The project involves the construction of a new ferry terminal in the eastern part of the Port of Gdynia together with an attendant infrastructure for the efficient handling of cargo and passengers and improvement of the port transport accessibility and conversion of the communication system to the eastern part of the Port of Gdynia within the Victims of December 70.The project will contribute to the implementation of the Community Strategic Guidelines, the Europe 2020 Strategy, the Transport White Paper and the National Transport Strategy 2020 (with a view to 2030).
