As in Svencionys district as well in Postavy district most people live in rural areas where they face with high unemployment, they are effected by alcoholism, abuse of drugs and domestic violence. It is difficult for people living in these areas to receive the necessary social assistance, because there is no well developed assistance for addiction, homeless people or persons who have returned from imprisonment institutions. These vulnerable group is not provided with the necessary psychological, social support and support to ensure relapse prevention. By solving this type of problems there is necessary of individual approach and the correction of the behavior of a person suffering from addiction in order to overcome fear, guilt, avoidance of conflicts, eliminate difficulties, help people. Such actions will help people integrate into the labor market, avoid poverty, unemployment and social exclusion. The project aims: 1) to establish a new SOCIAL HOUSE for temporary lodging for social risk people in Svencionys SC and Postavy SC and provide there interconnected services like accommodation, feed, exchange of services with community, individual case manager's service, individual psychologist consultation, individual skills education, possibilities of employment, etc. 2) to run a Pilot project of a SOCIAL HOUSE socialization with trained staff who exchange on the best practices and develop a common methodology to integrate social risk people to the society in two countries. That project will have the most positive effect to vulnerable group like people, abusing alcohol, drugs or toxic substances, homeless, ex-prisoners, perpetrators, victims of domestic violence, their families. Indirectly that project will change attitude of locals residents to that sensitive vulnerable people and will raise safety and quality of cross border region. Local stakeholder groups,communities, Postavy Raispolkom, Svencionys Municipality are supporting that project highly. (English)
