The cross-border network of service and consulting centres as the engine of German-Polish cooperation in the Euroregion Pomerania and the district of Märkisch-Oderland
Property / summary

Lack of knowledge of the neighbouring country and different mentality hinders not only the cooperation of institutions, but also the cooperation of SMEs and the cross-border operation of the economy. Differences in legal systems and lack of language skills impede the convergence of markets, cross-border mobility of SMEs and thus result in barriers to growth, especially in comparison to neighbouring regions of a single language and legal area. This is precisely where the work of the network of service and consulting centres of the Euroregion Pomerania begins. One of the most important objectives of the Euroregion POMERANIA is to advance the integration process both at the cross-border, euro-regional level and in the European context. The network of SBC'n is an important link in this ever-changing process and will accompany and support it through the following measures: — Targeted mediation of cross-border business contacts in the Euroregion Pomerania and the district of Märkisch Oderland through individual support and support. — Initiation and moderation of a comprehensive local and regional communication process between the dt. and poln. Companies and institutions, mainly in the economic field. — Building bridges between municipalities and other institutions in the border region. The SBC’n network, based on its structure, has very short communication channels and with its involvement in regional economic cycles, the SBC'n will stand out as reliable multipliers of cross-border economic information. To solve this task, the network will continue to operate with 10 locations (4 on German and 6 on the Polish side) and 21 employees in the Euroregion POMERANIA, including the Märkisch Oderland district. The existence of such a network ensures that interested parties are given comprehensive, fast and comprehensive support, including across borders. Compared to existing institutions, the special feature of the network lies explicitly in its cross-border impact, which is reflected both in its structure and in the direction of its exclusively cross-border activities. The long-term objective of the project is thus to create a sustainable cross-border environment for economic activities combined with the economic strengthening of the border region. The target groups are primarily small and medium-sized enterprises (increasingly cross-border entrepreneurs), but also associations, associations, local governments, educational institutions and private individuals. The network of service and consulting centres will present itself on its own, German-Polish website, which will be made more customer-friendly for all potential interested parties in the current project. For this reason, a modern, paperless online registration at the events will be used in the future, in which a registration form does not have to be printed out, scanned or faxed as before. In parallel to the revised online presentation, a short image film on the work of the SBC’n network is planned to be made in order to be even more present in public relations. Furthermore, a new series of events under the name “border workshops” is planned to be established in the form of thematic workshops. In addition, we will organise and carry out a “multiplier trip” with journalists on selected highlights in our Euroregion Pomerania. In addition, the introduction of “webinaren” is planned at the Strausberg site. Further explanations are given in the individual APs. (English)

(German)
