Several invasive mosquito species are currently settled in the Upper Rhine region. The most important among them, the tiger mosquito, transmitting dengue fever, Chikungunya and Zika, has been monitored for several years. This trinational project aims to provide the authorities and institutions of the Upper Rhine region with all necessary tools to assess and manage the health risk associated with the invasive mosquitoes. A joint three-country project will be launched to create real-time maps of the distribution and activity of the disease carriers at the level of the Upper Rhine. The concrete results will be made available to the authorities and institutions concerned and presented in specialist conferences. The TIGER expert group will support the authorities and institutions in the prevention measures while at the same time providing their expertise in the possible management of health crises. Tiger will work in particular for communication and prevention at the level of the inhabitants of the Upper Rhine. Knowledge of mosquito species and associated regional cartography serves as a communication basis for public authorities and healthcare professionals. Local stakeholders will be sensitised to prevention measures that allow to reduce the establishment and spread of these invasive species. (English) | |||||||||||||||

Mehrere invasive Mückenarten lassen sich gegenwärtig in der Oberrhein-Region nieder. Die bedeutendste unter ihnen, die Tigermücke, Überträger von Denguefieber, Chikungunya und Zika, wird seit mehreren Jahren überwacht. Dieses trinationale Projekt zielt darauf ab, den Behörden und Institutionen der Oberrhein-Region alle notwendigen Werkzeuge zur Einschätzung und zum Management des gesundheitlichen Risikos, das mit den invasiven Mücken verbunden ist, zur Verfügung zu stellen. Es wird ein gemeinsames Dreiländer-Projekt gestartet, um in Echtzeit Karten über die Verteilung und die Aktivität der Krankheitsüberträger auf Ebene des Oberrheins zu erstellen. Die konkreten Ergebnisse werden den betroffenen Behörden und Institutionen zur Verfügung gestellt und in Fachkonferenzen dargelegt. Die Expertengruppe TIGER wird die Behörden und Institutionen bei den Präventionsmaßnahmen unterstützen und gleichzeitig ihr Fachwissen beim eventuellen Management von Gesundheitskrisen zur Verfügung stellen. TIGER wird sich insbesondere für die Kommunikation und die Prävention auf Ebene der Bewohner des Oberrheins einsetzen. Die Kenntnisse über die Mückenarten und die damit verbundene regionale Kartographie dienen als Kommunikations-Grundlage für die Behörden und Angehörige der Gesundheitsbranche. Die Akteure vor Ort werden für Präventionsmaßnahmen sensibilisiert, die es erlauben, die Niederlassung und die Ausbreitung dieser invasiven Arten zu reduzieren. (German)
